Nowshera: Two joint military exercises involving Pakistan, Russia, and Oman commenced in Pakistan today, marking a significant step in international military cooperation and training. The exercises are set to last for two weeks and will focus on enhancing operational experience and counter-terrorism capabilities.
According to Radio Pakistan, the 9th edition of the Pakistan-Russia Joint Exercise Druzhba-IX is being held at Cherat, while the 2nd edition of the Pakistan-Oman Joint Exercise Washaq Al Jabal-II (Mountain Lynx-II) is taking place at the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) in Pabbi. These exercises bring together contingents from the Pakistan Army, Russian Army, and Royal Army of Oman to collaborate on refining counter-terrorism drills, procedures, and interoperability.
Through joint training and the exchange of best practices, the exercises aim to hone combat skills and tactical expertise among the participating forces, while also strengthening bilateral defense cooperation between Pakistan and its international counterparts.
