PESHAWAR: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, has underscored the Armed Forces’ unwavering resolve to combat terrorism, emphasizing the essential support of the nation in achieving lasting peace and stability throughout the country.

According to Radio Pakistan, Field Marshal Munir expressed these views during a visit to the Corps Headquarters in Peshawar. He directed military formations to maintain vigilance and uphold high standards of operational readiness. Commending the morale, readiness, and professionalism of the officers and troops, he acknowledged their dedication to safeguarding the nation.

During the visit, Field Marshal Munir received a briefing on the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ongoing counter-terrorism operations, border management measures, and the preparedness of formations in the province. He also paid tribute at Yadgar-e-Shuhada, honoring those who sacrificed their lives in defending the country, reaffirming that their sacrifices will always be remembered.
