Washington: A ceremony to mark Defence and Martyrs Day was held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington, D.C., drawing attendance from civilian and military attachés from several countries, as well as senior officials from the United States. The event served as a platform to honor the sacrifices made by the Pakistani armed forces and to underscore the nation’s resilience and unity.
According to Radio Pakistan, the ceremony featured remarks from Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh. Ambassador Sheikh reflected on the events of 1965, highlighting the courage and national solidarity demonstrated by the Pakistani people in the face of external threats. During the event, Pakistan’s Defence Attaché also reiterated the armed forces’ steadfast commitment to ensuring the security and stability of the nation.
