Pakistan Dispatches 24th Relief Consignment to Middle East Nations


Islamabad: Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), under the directive of the Prime Minister, has dispatched its 24th humanitarian aid consignment to the conflict-stricken regions of Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria. The shipment, comprising approximately 60 tons of supplies, was organized in collaboration with Al-Khidmat Foundation.



According to a statement by Press Information Department, the relief consignment included essential items such as bell tents, winterized tents, and tarpaulin sheets. The aid was dispatched from Jinnah International Airport in Karachi to El Arish International Airport in Egypt, ensuring a direct route to deliver much-needed supplies.



The ongoing efforts have seen a total of 1,861 tons of relief items sent to the affected populations, with 1,378 tons directed to Palestine, 372 tons to Lebanon, and 111 tons to Syria. The send-off ceremony, held at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, was attended by senior officials from NDMA, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Al-Khidmat Foundation.



The Government of Pakistan remains committed to providing relief based on the needs of those impacted by the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, with continued support to the war-affected populations of Lebanon, Syria, and Palestine.
