Islamabad, Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani emphasized the importance of fostering a favorable environment for shared prosperity in the region during a conference at a private university in Lahore. He highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to regional cooperation, peacebuilding efforts, and the transformation of a complex region into a pivot of growth through collaborative endeavors.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Yousuf Raza Gillani discussed Pakistan’s role in promoting peace and stability, mentioning the country’s efforts in facilitating peace talks between the Taliban and the United States. He reiterated that Pakistan’s priority is achieving peace and prosperity in the region through constructive engagement and cooperation.
Gillani also pointed to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a flagship project and a game changer for the region.
