Security Forces Neutralize Two Terrorists in Dera Ismail Khan Operation


Dera Ismail Khan, During a targeted operation by Pakistan’s security forces, two terrorists were neutralized following a fierce exchange of gunfire. The operation, based on intelligence reports, aimed to confront the terrorist presence in the district and resulted in the recovery of weapons, ammunition, and explosives.



According to Inter Services Public Relations, the operation took place on April 28, 2024, in Dera Ismail Khan District where the security forces engaged with terrorists Faheem Nawaz, also known as Gandapuri, and Mohsin Nawaz. Both were involved in numerous acts of terrorism including target killings and extortion against both security forces and civilians. The successful neutralization of these terrorists marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in the region.



The operation also included a sanitization process to ensure the area is cleared of any remaining terrorist elements. The security forces remain committed to their mission to eradicate the threat of terrorism from Pakistan and continue to conduct operations to secure peace and safety for its citizens.
