Pakistan Commends Syria’s Efforts on Chemical Weapons Issue

New York: Pakistan has expressed approval of Syria’s commitment to addressing chemical weapons-related activities within its borders. The statement was made by Usman Jadoon, Pakistan’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, during a Security Council briefing focused on the Middle East.

According to Radio Pakistan, Jadoon acknowledged the progress made under Syria’s new government, describing it as deserving of recognition and encouragement. He emphasized the importance of the international community in supporting Syria’s efforts by providing technical assistance, expertise, and capacity-building support to resolve outstanding issues. Jadoon also reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for Syria’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
