Islamabad: The Armed Forces of Pakistan solemnly observed the 61st martyrdom anniversary of Major Raja Aziz Bhatti Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider, paying tribute to his courage, leadership, and sacrifice.
According to Inter Services Public Relations, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of the Army Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, and General Syed Aamer Raza, Commander National Strategic Command, led the commemorations. Major Bhatti’s actions during the 1965 War, particularly in defending the Burki sector near Lahore for five days, have left an indelible mark on the history and legacy of Pakistan’s military.
