Islamabad: The Prime Ministers of Pakistan and New Zealand held a telephone conversation to discuss the situation in the Middle East, focusing on peace and stability efforts. New Zealand’s Prime Minister, Rt Hon Christopher Luxon, expressed support for Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives in the region.
According to Press Information Department, the conversation included discussions on Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach aimed at promoting peace and de-escalation in the Middle East. Prime Minister Luxon acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts and extended his best wishes for the success of these mediation activities.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to advancing peace and dialogue beyond the region. They also discussed enhancing bilateral relations between Pakistan and New Zealand, highlighting the positive role of the Pakistani diaspora in New Zealand. An invitation was extended to Prime Minister Luxon to visit Pakistan officially, with both leaders agreeing to stay in close contact.
