RAWALPINDI: Pakistan and Indonesia agreed to bolster their defence cooperation following a meeting between Indonesian Naval Chief Admiral Dr. Muhammad Ali and Pakistan’s Chief of the Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, in Rawalpindi. Discussions focused on mutual interests, regional security, and bilateral defence collaboration, with both sides expressing satisfaction over the current state of military-to-military relations.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting underscored a shared commitment to enhance cooperation, particularly in professional training, defence collaboration, and joint exercises. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir emphasized Pakistan’s dedication to fortifying its longstanding ties with Indonesia, particularly within the defence and security sectors.
Admiral Dr. Muhammad Ali commended the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and recognized their role in contributing to regional peace and stability.
