ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and China have reached an agreement to bolster cooperation in police training exchange programs and the deployment of modern technology and equipment. This development emerged from a meeting between Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, and China’s Vice Minister of Public Security held in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the agreement also includes Chinese assistance in establishing a modern Law Enforcement Centre in Pakistan. Interior Minister Naqvi emphasized that the Centre would symbolize the enduring friendship between the two nations. He highlighted the potential benefits of China’s AI-based technology and modern equipment in addressing Pakistan’s security challenges.

Naqvi expressed a desire to expand cooperation with China in internal security, reflecting Pakistan’s commitment to fostering closer ties with its neighbor. During the meeting, the Chinese Vice Minister of Public Security commended Pakistan’s sacrifices and steadfast commitment to combating terrorism.
