Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed his commitment to deepening bilateral relations with Vietnam, extending his congratulations to President To Lam, the Vietnamese Government, and its citizens on the occasion of Vietnam’s 81st National Day.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari, in his formal communication, praised Vietnam’s resilience and progress since its independence in 1945, noting its advancements in political, economic, and social arenas. He highlighted the importance of the cordial relations between Pakistan and Vietnam and emphasized a mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation for the benefit of both nations.

The President also noted the impending 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, expressing anticipation for its commemoration next year. He extended an invitation to President To Lam to visit Pakistan to celebrate this milestone and the enduring friendship between the two nations.
