Omar Abdullah Commits to Upholding Kashmiri Rights Amid Political Struggles

Srinagar, Omar Abdullah, the vice president of the National Conference, has reaffirmed his commitment to the defense of the rights and dignity of the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). In a series of rallies across north Kashmir, he articulated a vision of continuing the struggle for democracy and autonomy in the region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, during his speeches, Abdullah highlighted the National Conference’s dedication to peaceful and democratic methods as a means to restore and protect the region’s democratic rights. He addressed the challenges posed by what he termed “economic and political slavery” and called on Kashmiris to resist external pressures that threaten their historical identity and political rights.

Abdullah also criticized efforts by the BJP and other agencies from New Delhi and Nagpur to undermine his party and manipulate electoral processes in Kashmir. He rallied the public to use their votes as a means to counter these influences, advocating for the release of all Kashmiri prisoners held in jails outside the region as part of the broader struggle for the rights of the Kashmiri people.
