Islamabad: The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Islamic Affairs has inaugurated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Iftar and dates distribution program in Pakistan for the year 1446 Hijri. This initiative was launched by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and the Saudi Ambassador, Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki.

According to a statement by Press Information Department, the program aims to support poor and needy families, widows, and orphans in Pakistan during the month of Ramadan. It is part of a larger initiative by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to extend assistance and joy to deserving individuals in multiple countries.

The program will see the distribution of 20 tons of dates to 40,000 individuals and provide Iftar meals to 30,000 people throughout Pakistan. The initiative symbolizes the friendship between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, as highlighted by the Saudi Ambassador.

Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain conveyed gratitude from Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and the government of Pakistan for Saudi Arabia’s ongoing support. He emphasized that these efforts reflect the enduring bond between the two nations.
