Karachi: The National Logistics Cell (NLC) is playing a significant role in the Prime Minister’s Task Force for Maritime Reforms, contributing to the deregulation of movements in shallow coastal areas through the Barge Operation Freedom initiative. This initiative aims to facilitate the transportation of goods using large vessels in these waters.

According to Radio Pakistan, with the support of the NLC, a modern Transit and Tracking System has been implemented to ensure the monitoring and safe movement of freight vehicles. Additionally, a state-of-the-art coast-to-coast radar network has been established under the Vessel Traffic Management System to enhance the monitoring of port activities.
