Islamabad: National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has paid tribute to Major Raja Aziz Bhatti Shaheed on the 61st anniversary of his martyrdom. According to National Assembly of Pakistan, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq emphasized the enduring significance of Major Bhatti’s courage and sacrifice in the nation’s history.
During the 1965 war, Major Bhatti was recognized for his steadfast defense in the Burki sector near Lahore, where he fought against the enemy for five days and nights. His actions during the conflict earned him Pakistan’s highest military honor, the Nishan-e-Haider.
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq highlighted that Major Bhatti’s sacrifice serves as a lasting example of bravery and dedication to the country’s sovereignty. He also acknowledged the soldiers of the Pakistan Armed Forces, praising their commitment to defending the nation’s borders and security. The speaker reiterated that the sacrifices of these soldiers are a source of national pride and inspiration.
