ISLAMABAD: The United Nations Resident Coordinator in Pakistan, Mohamed Yahya, made a farewell visit to National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in Islamabad, where his contributions to fostering cooperation between Pakistan and the United Nations were acknowledged. Speaker Sadiq emphasized the foundation of mutual trust and shared objectives in the Pakistan-UN partnership and expressed hope for continued collaboration.
According to Radio Pakistan, Speaker Sadiq highlighted the importance of women’s empowerment, noting the efforts of the Women’s Parliamentary Caucus and the Gender Mainstreaming Committee in creating supportive environments and addressing women’s issues. Mohamed Yahya expressed gratitude for the respect and cooperation he experienced in Pakistan.
