Haripur: The Ministry of Human Rights, in collaboration with UNDP Pakistan, organized a two-day workshop aimed at enhancing the understanding and capacity of prison authorities regarding human rights frameworks. The event, held in Haripur on October 19 and 20, 2026, focused on prisoner rights, complaint mechanisms, and rights-based prison management.
According to the Ministry of Human Rights, the workshop was part of the Huqooq-e-Pakistan II Project, emphasizing the rights of prisoners, particularly women and other vulnerable groups. The sessions included discussions on both national and international human rights frameworks, with practical exercises designed to integrate these principles into everyday prison management.
