ISLAMABAD: The Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Musadik Malik, has issued a call for immediate and coordinated action to combat Pakistan’s escalating air pollution crisis. During a workshop in Islamabad, Malik emphasized the urgent need to consider clean air as a fundamental requirement for health and human dignity, urging the nation to move beyond policy discussions and implement actionable measures.
According to Radio Pakistan, Malik highlighted the significance of air quality as a critical indicator of human survival and dignity. He stressed that Pakistan must transition from policy commitments to a concrete, time-bound implementation plan for its National Clean Air Policy. The Minister also revealed that the government is contemplating the establishment of a National Clean Air Secretariat within the ministry to enhance coordination and execution of air quality initiatives.
