KOHAT: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has announced that no violent group will be permitted to march on Islamabad, emphasizing the government’s commitment to maintaining law and order. Tarar conveyed this message during an address to workers in Kohat, highlighting the government’s stance against road blockades and disturbances.

According to Radio Pakistan, Tarar criticized Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi for prioritizing photo opportunities in Lahore over addressing terrorism challenges in his province. Tarar suggested that Afridi should have shown solidarity with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa residents by being present in Kohat, as he did in Lahore.

Tarar also questioned the provincial government’s efforts in areas such as education, health, and public welfare, accusing the PTI administration of focusing on social media statements rather than tangible improvements. He pointed out the absence of a forensic laboratory in the province, which he argued hampers police work.

Furthermore, Tarar alleged that contracts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are awarded based on favoritism, leading to increasing levels of corruption. In response to media inquiries, Tarar criticized the PTI’s protest tactics, asserting that peaceful demonstrations do not involve weapons like slingshots and nail-fitted sticks.
