KARACHI: Minister of State for Finance and Railways, Bilal Azhar Kayani, convened a consultative meeting in Karachi with leaders of the All Pakistan Exporters Associations to discuss tax policy and trade facilitation measures. The meeting focused on briefing exporters about tax relief measures in the recent budget and addressing their concerns.
According to Press Information Department, Minister Kayani highlighted the Government’s dedication to enhancing trade facilitation and refining the tax framework. He introduced the Export Facilitation Committees established post-budget to support export activities and provide a resolution mechanism for disputes without harassment from tax officials. The Minister emphasized the Government’s commitment to supporting export-oriented industrial growth and maintaining open communication channels with industry stakeholders. Exporters responded positively, offering recommendations to improve tax-related operations and boost export performance.
The meeting was attended by prominent business leaders and representatives from key national trade bodies, including figures from the Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers Association, Pakistan Sports Goods Manufacturers & Exporters Association, and others, who acknowledged Minister Kayani’s efforts to create a favorable environment for export-led growth.
