Islamabad: Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry has called for immediate actions to resolve port and customs issues that are hindering the competitiveness of Pakistan’s textile exports. Chairing a meeting in Islamabad focused on the challenges faced by textile exporters, Junaid highlighted the need for cooperation among various stakeholders to enhance the efficiency of clearance processes.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister instructed relevant authorities to collaborate closely with exporters, port officials, Customs, Pakistan Single Window (PSW), and shipping lines to streamline operations and mitigate delays. The meeting underscored the critical role of improved logistics and customs procedures in boosting the nation’s export performance, particularly in the textile sector.
