Islamabad Traffic Police Intensify Efforts Against Illegal Parking

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) have launched a rigorous campaign to tackle illegal parking and maintain orderly traffic flow in the federal capital. The initiative, directed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aims to enhance traffic management and ensure adherence to traffic laws across the city.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, special teams have been deployed to monitor and address violations of no-parking rules, particularly at shopping malls, markets, commercial centers, and major roads. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad, Kainat Azhar Khan, has instructed zonal Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) to enforce traffic regulations strictly and take action against any obstructions to traffic flow.

The directive emphasizes the importance of maintaining parking discipline in commercial areas and safeguarding footpaths for pedestrian use. The ITP has made it clear that violations will not be tolerated, and efforts will be made to provide necessary facilities to citizens visiting commercial zones. The public has been urged to cooperate with traffic authorities by adhering to the rules to ensure a well-organized traffic system in Islamabad.
