Islamabad Traffic Police Hosts Road Safety Workshop for Students

Islamabad: The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) organized a one-day road safety workshop for students at Islamabad Model Postgraduate College of Commerce, H-8/4, following directives from Chief Traffic Officer Muhammad Sarfraz Virk. The event aimed to provide students with vital information on road safety and traffic regulations.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the workshop was conducted by the ITP Awareness Wing and covered a range of topics including careful driving, the hazards of using mobile phones while driving, the importance of seat belts, and the risks associated with riding motorcycles without helmets. Students were also informed about the significance of respecting other road users, using overhead bridges and zebra crossings, and adhering to speed limits and other traffic laws. The session concluded with a distribution of gifts to the participants.

The educational institution’s administration praised the Islamabad Traffic Police for their efforts in promoting road safety awareness among students and citizens. They acknowledged the dedication of ITP officers in assisting the public during challenging times and highlighted their commitment to their duties.

Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad emphasized the crucial role of students in shaping the future of the nation, stating that it is the police’s responsibility to educate them about road safety and traffic laws. He affirmed that the ITP is effectively fulfilling this duty.

Additionally, a Police Facilitation Van was stationed at the college to offer on-the-spot driving license services to students, allowing them to conveniently access the services provided by the Islamabad Traffic Police.
