ISLAMABAD: A promotion ceremony for officers of the Islamabad Police was conducted at the Central Police Office in Islamabad, where Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and DIG Headquarters Muhammad Jawad Tariq officiated the rank-pinning for newly promoted officers.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the promotions were carried out under the directives of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. During the event, the officers, who advanced to the rank of Inspector, received their new insignia from senior police officials. IGP Rizvi commended the officers’ professional efforts and highlighted the increased responsibilities accompanying their new positions.
At the ceremony, the IGP emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity, commitment, and adherence to the rule of law in their duties. He urged the officers to continually improve their capabilities and to foster a respectful and professional relationship with the public. Moreover, the IGP reiterated the priority of ensuring citizen safety and delivering timely justice as core objectives for the force.
IGP Rizvi also expressed his expectation that the newly promoted officers would enhance the performance and service quality of the Islamabad Police, thereby contributing positively to the institution’s reputation.
