Islamabad Police Intensify Search Operations, 194 Individuals Checked

ISLAMABAD: Over 194 individuals were checked during citywide search operations in Islamabad as law enforcement authorities intensified efforts to curb crime in the federal capital.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were conducted following directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The search and combing operations targeted various areas across the city, aiming to crack down on criminal activities. The operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, with zonal SPs monitoring the efforts.

During the operations, 68 households, six shops, 89 motorcycles, and 30 vehicles were thoroughly checked. The police also detained six suspicious individuals and nine motorcycles for further verification at the police station. Additionally, arrests were made in connection with the possession of illegal weapons, resulting in the recovery of two pistols and ammunition.

SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, emphasized that the objective of these operations is to tighten the noose around criminal elements and enhance security across the city. He noted that similar operations are being conducted in different areas throughout the district as the Islamabad Police continue their indiscriminate action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
