ISLAMABAD: In an effort to combat drug abuse among the youth, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified its anti-drug campaign, “Nasha Ab Nahi,” under the directives of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The initiative aims to eradicate narcotics and safeguard young individuals from the dangers associated with drug use.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, officers have been conducting educational lectures across several institutions to inform students about the harmful effects of narcotics and the importance of preventive measures. During a recent campaign event, SP Saddar Zone Kazim Naqvi, along with other officers, addressed students at Islamabad Model School for Boys in G-10/4, highlighting the adverse impacts of drug abuse on health and future prospects.

The campaign encourages students to protect themselves and assist in creating a drug-free environment. Parents and teachers are urged to collaborate in preventing young people from falling prey to narcotics. SP Saddar Zone has appealed to the public to report any drug-related activities in their neighborhoods, stressing the importance of community cooperation for the campaign’s success.

The Islamabad Police, in collaboration with the Anti-Narcotics Force, is actively combating drug trafficking. Special teams have been deployed to apprehend drug peddlers, particularly in educational settings. SP Saddar Zone assured that those involved in narcotics and liquor-related activities will face legal action, emphasizing the police’s commitment to making the city safe and secure.

Citizens are encouraged to report suspicious activities to local police stations, the emergency helpline “Pucar-15,” or via the “ICT Police” app.
