ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have launched open courts to address citizen complaints promptly, as directed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Captain (Retd) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry. The initiative, led by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad Ali Waseem and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Qazi Ali Raza, aims to ensure timely resolution of issues presented by citizens.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, DIG Ali Waseem held an open court at his office where he listened to complaints and instructed officers to resolve them immediately. Similarly, SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza conducted an open court under the open-door policy, directing officers to take legal action on applications within a specified timeframe.

DIG Waseem emphasized that resolving issues on merit is a priority for the Islamabad Police, encouraging citizens to use the IGP Complaint Cell 1715. The initiative is part of broader efforts to engage with the public and address their concerns effectively. IGP Chaudhry has instructed all senior officers to hold open courts district-wide, ensuring accessibility for all citizens.

SSP Raza stated that the police maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards violence against women and children, and emphasized the commitment to the rule of law and the protection of citizens. He assured that all applications would be handled equitably, underscoring the importance of citizen rights and safety.
