Islamabad: Islamabad Police have conducted 54 extensive search and combing operations across the federal capital in an effort to curb criminal activities and enhance security measures. The operations, directed by Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, involved thorough checks of individuals, residences, businesses, and vehicles.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, these operations were carried out under the supervision of zonal SPs and resulted in the examination of 2,891 individuals, 1,404 houses, 272 shops, 76 hotels, 1,316 motorcycles, and 495 vehicles. As part of the operations, 130 individuals deemed suspicious, along with 157 motorcycles and 10 vehicles, were taken to police stations for further verification. Additionally, substances such as ice, heroin, and liquor, as well as three illegal pistols and ammunition, were confiscated.

SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized that the primary goal of these operations is to clamp down on criminal elements and strengthen the city’s security. The operations are part of a broader initiative targeting criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers. Islamabad residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activities to their local police station or the emergency helpline “Pukar” 15.
