Islamabad Capital Police Introduces High-Tech Smart Patrol Cars for Enhanced City Surveillance

ISLAMABAD, The Islamabad Capital Police has launched smart patrol cars equipped with advanced cameras to strengthen citywide security, following directives from Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, as per a statement from a public relations officer.

According to Islamabad Police, these smart patrol cars have undergone rigorous inspection by the CPO Safe City/Traffic before their deployment. Drivers and operators of these vehicles have received specialized training to maximize their efficiency in surveillance operations.

The cars are being monitored by the Safe City Command and Control Center, which provides real-time surveillance across various strategic locations in Islamabad, including commercial centers, markets, recreational areas, and other public spots.

The implementation of these smart patrol cars is part of a broader initiative that includes establishing high-tech checkpoints throughout the city. These measures, combined with the existing network of Safe City cameras, aim to enhance public safety and maintain law and order in the federal capital. Expertly trained operators have been assigned to manage these smart cars.

The CPO Safe City/Traffic expressed optimism that all officers would diligently utilize the available technology to ensure the protection of lives and property. He stressed the importance of vigilance and the effective use of resources in securing the city. Additionally, he issued a warning that strict legal measures would be enforced against any officers or personnel found engaging in illegal activities.
