Islamabad Capital Police Arrests Murder Suspect in Coordinated Operation

Islamabad, In a major breakthrough, the Islamabad Capital Police, involving teams from the Kirpa police station and Homicide Unit, have successfully apprehended an individual accused in a murder case. This arrest is a significant step in the police’s ongoing efforts to combat criminal activities in the region.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrest followed an intensive investigation into a murder that occurred on February 8, 2023. A citizen’s application to the Kirpa police station reported that the accused, identified as Saeed, Zahid, and Muhammad Jameel, opened fire on Babar Hussain, who later died from his injuries in the hospital. In response, Kirpa police registered FIR no. 68/23 and formed a special investigation team to probe the incident.

Employing technical and scientific methods, the police teams managed to arrest Muhammad Jameel, while further investigations are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspects. Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, ICCPO, has instructed all senior officials to intensify their efforts in cracking down on individuals involved in criminal activities. He emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety and security of citizens as a top priority.

Dr. Khan reaffirmed the Islamabad Capital Police’s commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against violence and crime. He assured that strict legal action would be taken against those involved in such activities. He also lauded the performance of the police teams and directed officers to escalate their efforts against criminal elements, stressing that the safety and security of citizens are paramount and no negligence in this regard will be tolerated.
