Indian troops martyr two Kashmiri youth in Baramulla

Srinagar, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two Kashmiri youth in Baramulla district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, today.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the troops martyred the youth during a cordon and search operation in Uri area of the district. In another search operation, the troops arrested two youth identified as Aijaz Ahmad and Gulshan Ahmed in Surankote area of Poonch district.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar voiced serious concern over the ongoing killing and arrest spree, unabated cordon and search operations, house raids and seizure of properties in the occupied territory. He urged the United Nations to take steps for an early settlement of the Kashmir dispute and pointed out that India’s reluctance in resolving the lingering dispute poses a serious threat to peace in the region.

Meanwhile, Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti and National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah in their statements in Srinagar questioned the bail granted to the Indian Army officer convicted of killing three innocent Kashmiris in a fake encounter in 2020. Mehbooba Mufti and Omar Abdullah said they were shocked over the Indian Army Tribunal’s decision to revoke the life sentence given to the Captain Bupinder Singh, who himself admitted to the crime.

Over 30 people were killed and several others injured after a bus skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in Assar area of Doda district, today.

APHC leader from Jammu and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjal Peace Foundation, Muhammad Hanif Kalis, passed away in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He was 62. A large number of people including Hurriyat leaders and activists participated in his funeral prayers. The deceased was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Surankote area of Poonch district.
