India to Deploy Additional 20,000 Troops in Jammu and Kashmir for Amarnath Yatra Security

Srinagar, The authorities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have decided to deploy 20,000 more personnel of Indian forces to enhance security during the Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage. This move is aimed at bolstering the protection for the annual Hindu pilgrimage to the Amarnath Cave.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the deployment includes 500 additional companies of Indian forces alongside the 20,000 personnel. These forces will primarily be stationed along the borders and the pilgrimage route from Bhagwati Nagar in Jammu to the Amarnath Cave.

The Indian Ministry of Home Affairs confirmed this reinforcement strategy following their previous announcement on June 7 about increasing paramilitary presence. A statement from the Secretary of the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring the utmost security for the pilgrims throughout their journey.

It is noteworthy that Jammu and Kashmir is reported to have the largest military presence globally, with over one million soldiers already stationed in the region.
