Lahore: Punjab Police have intensified their campaign to evacuate illegally residing foreign nationals, successfully removing 10,078 individuals from the province, including the city of Lahore, according to IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar.

The ongoing operation has seen more than 10,738 illegal residents relocated to holding centers, while 660 remain at temporary holding points. The campaign is part of a broader effort to enforce Pakistan’s deportation policy under international laws, with oversight from the federal government and intelligence agencies.

Punjab Police have established five holding centers in Lahore and 46 across the province to manage the evacuation. IG Punjab emphasized the importance of maintaining high security during this process and assured that human rights are being fully respected.

Dr. Anwar has instructed senior police officials, including the CCPO Lahore, RPOs, and DPOs, to expedite the removal process. The identification of illegal foreign residents is being conducted through coordinated efforts involving the Special Branch, CTD, and other intelligence sources.
