IGP Islamabad Reviews Police Station on Wheels Services, Hosts Open Court

Islamabad: The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, conducted a visit to the Police Station on Wheels, assessing the public facilitation services offered by the initiative. Accompanied by senior officers, including DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq and SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza, the IGP reviewed the operations aimed at providing essential services to citizens.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the Police Station on Wheels has served over 15,000 citizens since its inception, offering access to police station services and driving license facilities in one location. The initiative extends its services into the night at various centers, following directives from the IGP to enhance accessibility for the public.

The IGP emphasized the program’s goal to deliver assistance directly to citizens, ensuring efficient problem resolution. In addition, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held an open court session at the Central Police Office Islamabad, engaging with citizens and police personnel to address their issues promptly. The open court is part of the IGP’s “Open Door Policy,” which invites individuals to share their concerns directly for immediate action.

The IGP instructed officers to resolve citizen complaints impartially and promptly, underlining the importance of accountability and timely reporting to the Central Police Office. The initiative reflects the department’s commitment to fostering trust and transparency within the community.
