Islamabad: Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Dr. Musadik Malik has called for increased collaboration among nations directly impacted by glacial melt.

According to Radio Pakistan, Dr. Malik made these remarks during a meeting with the Ambassador of Sweden to Pakistan, Alexandra Berg von Linde, who visited him in Islamabad. He highlighted the necessity for Arctic and Himalayan regions to work closely to foster research and develop joint policy responses to combat the growing challenges of glacier melt and climate change.

Ambassador Berg von Linde praised Dr. Malik’s invitation to the Arctic Circle Assembly, noting the importance of international cooperation in addressing climate challenges that extend beyond national borders.
