ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has called for a reinforced policing strategy aimed at ensuring a safer capital and improving public service delivery. This directive emerged from an Operational Commanders Conference held at the Central Police Office, attended by high-ranking officials including DIGs, AIGs, SSPs, and the Chief Traffic Officer.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the conference focused on reviewing the current law and order situation, enforcement measures, and strategies for enhancing the protection of citizens’ lives and property. Reports were presented on departmental performances and ongoing crime prevention measures, alongside discussions on proposals to address existing challenges in policing.

IGP Rizvi emphasized the need for a coordinated operational approach to maintain law and order, directing officers to enhance police presence and monitoring in the field. He called for intensified actions against criminal elements and the strengthening of security arrangements at sensitive locations.

Further directives included the strict implementation of security SOPs and proactive measures to mitigate potential threats. Officers were instructed to monitor security in their respective areas and ensure an effective response to emergencies.

The conference also highlighted the importance of improving public service delivery. IGP Rizvi stressed the need for timely resolution of citizen complaints, better access to police services, and maintaining a professional demeanor in public interactions. He reiterated the commitment to providing superior police services through modern strategies and an enhanced command-and-control system.
