IG Punjab Prioritizes Welfare of Police Employees and Their Families

Lahore: In a significant move to address the welfare needs of police employees and their families, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has underscored the importance of timely resolution of their issues. This directive was given during a comprehensive meeting with police officials and their families at the Central Police Office.

According to Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar instructed regional police officers (RPOs) and district police officers (DPOs) to personally oversee the prompt resolution of issues affecting police personnel. He emphasized the need for close communication within the force and immediate action on welfare and discipline-related requests to ensure relief is provided where needed.

During the meeting, specific cases were addressed: IG Punjab ordered merit-based relief for Constable Muhammad Rafiq’s promotion request, and forwarded Lady Traffic Assistant Nimra Ghulam Mustafa’s request for government accommodation to the CCPO Lahore for necessary action. Additionally, financial assistance was approved for the wife of Shaheed Constable Muhammad Ramzan, and disciplinary relief was arranged for ASI Muhammad Amir based on merit.

Other directives from Dr. Anwar included the provision of medical expense assistance for Driver Constable Hamid Ahmed and a transfer request approval for Sub-Inspector Muhammad Zubair. These actions reflect a targeted approach to address the administrative, welfare, and disciplinary needs of the police force.

Dr. Anwar’s directives are part of a broader initiative to enhance the welfare of police employees, ensuring that they and their families are supported adequately by the force.
