IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Provides Houses to Families of Police Martyrs in 2025

Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, is continuing his initiative to provide housing for families of police martyrs in 2025. Recently, he handed over a house worth Rs. 1.35 crore to the family of Shaheed Constable Ishaq Ahmed in Rahim Yar Khan.

According to Punjab Police, the family was given a house of their choice within a private housing scheme in Rahim Yar Khan. Constable Muhammad Ishaq was martyred during a crossfire incident in June of the previous year, leaving behind his wife and four daughters. The Punjab government released funds for the house due to the efforts of Dr. Anwar, who honored Ishaq’s sacrifice as one made with courage and dedication.

Approval for the purchase of houses for 27 police martyrs’ families was obtained last year. Before 2017, 170 plots were provided to families of martyrs, with Rs. 11 billion distributed to support them. Dr. Anwar reiterated the Punjab Police’s commitment to remembering the sacrifices of its martyrs, acknowledging over 1,650 individuals who gave their lives in service, including Constable Muhammad Ishaq.
