Lahore: In a significant move to support the health welfare of police employees and their families, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has allocated an additional 2 million rupees for medical treatments across various districts, including Lahore.
According to Punjab Police, this initiative reflects Dr. Anwar’s ongoing commitment to the welfare of the force. The funds have been distributed to several officers for critical medical needs. Sub-Inspector Abdul Kabir Shah from Rawalpindi received 500,000 rupees for cancer treatment, while Traffic Assistant Zafar Iqbal from Okara was granted 390,000 rupees for leg surgery. Additional allocations include 300,000 rupees to Sub-Inspector Ijaz Ahmed Khan from Khanewal for major surgery and 200,000 rupees each to several other officers for various treatments, including cancer and open-heart surgery.
The distribution of these funds, scrutinized and approved by the welfare branch, underscores the Punjab Police’s dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of its members and their dependents. Dr. Anwar emphasized that the welfare of police employees and their families remains a top priority, with continued support from welfare resources.
