Islamabad: The Senate Minority Caucus convened to address issues related to minority rights and employment discrimination, focusing on the underrepresentation of minorities in federal ministries and the non-compliance with workplace discrimination laws. Key officials were absent from the meeting, prompting the committee to issue a final warning, emphasizing the need for strict accountability and potential escalation to higher authorities.

According to Senate of Pakistan, the meeting was led by Senator Danesh Kumar and attended by several Members of the National Assembly (MNAs), including Ramesh Lal, Naveed Aamir, and State Minister Kesoo Mal Kheal Das, alongside senior officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs & Interfaith Harmony and the Ministry of Human Rights. The committee expressed displeasure over the absence of top officials from the Establishment Division and the National Highway Authority, underscoring a zero-tolerance stance on non-attendance.

The committee deferred certain agenda items due to incomplete documentation, urging ministry officials to provide comprehensive and accessible materials in future sessions. Discussions on employment discrimination highlighted the challenges in implementing constitutional mandates for minority quotas, with claims of qualified minority graduates remaining unemployed. The committee proposed measures such as a centralized data portal and targeted recruitment drives to address these issues, emphasizing transparency and effective communication of job vacancies to minority communities.
