Islamabad: Acting Chairman Senate Syedal Khan has extended his congratulations to Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Iftikhar Gilani on his recent election as the 17th Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Khan emphasized the significance of this election as a reflection of the democratic process and the people’s mandate.
According to Senate of Pakistan, Khan expressed optimism that Prime Minister-elect Gilani would leverage his political experience to advance development, prosperity, and welfare in Azad Kashmir. Khan highlighted the necessity for strong coordination between the Federation and Azad Jammu and Kashmir to bolster democratic institutions, address public issues, and expedite development initiatives in the region.
Khan also expressed hope that the new administration would prioritize improvements in education and healthcare, create employment opportunities for youth, provide basic amenities, and promote economic development in Azad Kashmir. He conveyed his best wishes to Gilani and prayed for divine guidance and strength for him to serve the people of Azad Kashmir with commitment.
