Hurriyat AJK Leaders Decry Ban on Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League by Indian Government

Karachi, Mahmood Ahmad Saghar and Sheikh Abdul Mateen, leaders of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) chapter, have vehemently denounced the Indian government’s ban on the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League. They describe this move as a manifestation of the Modi government’s fascist policies and a suppression of the Kashmiri right to self-determination.

According to Kashmir Media Service, The condemnation came through a joint statement issued in Islamabad, as reported by the Kashmir Media Service. Saghar and Mateen asserted that the ban, based on what they claim are fabricated charges, reveals the authoritarian nature of India under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. They criticized the Indian government for systematically silencing any voices advocating for the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.

The Hurriyat AJK leaders further stated that the Kashmiri people are enduring unprecedented sacrifices in their struggle against India’s illegal occupation. They maintained that the spirit of freedom among the Kashmiri people cannot be quelled by the arrest or killing of innocent individuals, reflecting a strong resolve in the face of adversity.
