Govt Ready to Deepen Cooperation with Gulf Nations to Counter Drugs: Naqvi

Islamabad: The Government is poised to enhance its collaboration with Gulf nations in a bid to tackle the growing issue of narcotics, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced at the Pak-Gulf Anti-Drugs Conference. Naqvi emphasized the importance of intelligence sharing, joint training, and real-time coordination among countries to effectively address the drug menace.

During his address, Naqvi underscored the need for a concerted effort to create a safer and healthier region, free from the influence of narcotics. He highlighted the government’s commitment to eradicating drugs, stating that such a goal is achievable only through international cooperation.

The conference, which brought together delegations from various Gulf countries, reflects a shared vision for a drug-free world. Naqvi expressed gratitude to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) representatives, noting their presence as a testament to mutual determination.

Naqvi called for strengthening cooperation and formulating effective strategies to curb drug trafficking and its consumption. He stressed the importance of ensuring a secure future for the youth and society at large, reiterating the government’s resolve to tackle the issue head-on.
