Islamabad: The government has announced a plan to significantly increase the share of bank credit available to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), aiming to raise it from seven percent to thirteen percent over the next two years. Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, Coordinator to the Prime Minister, shared this target during a recent event in the capital.
According to Radio Pakistan, Khan emphasized that this initiative is expected to unlock a new financing window ranging from one to two trillion rupees for SMEs. He noted that improved access to credit is intended to foster the growth of small and medium-sized businesses, providing them with the financial resources needed to expand and thrive.
