Government Focuses on Youth Vocational Training Through Digital Platforms, Says Minister Ahsan Iqbal

Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal announced today that the government is intensifying efforts to provide vocational training to youth via digital platforms, aiming to enhance their skill sets as a key part of Pakistan’s growth strategy.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, speaking at an event in Islamabad, Minister Iqbal detailed the government’s commitment to the Five Es, a national economic transformation plan designed to lay a robust socio-economic foundation for the country. He stressed the critical role of investing in youth development to achieve these goals.

The event also featured remarks from Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, who outlined the government’s recent initiative to provide technical training to two hundred thousand young individuals. Khan emphasized the government’s ambitious target to expand the IT industry into a twenty-five billion dollar sector within the next five years, introducing policies to enable youth participation in national development.
