Lahore: The government is taking significant steps to guarantee an uninterrupted fuel supply to the public in the face of rising international oil prices and limited resources, according to Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik. The minister announced measures to support vulnerable populations and maintain energy availability during a media briefing.

According to Radio Pakistan, Malik revealed that between 30 billion rupees and 40 billion rupees have been reallocated to aid vulnerable segments of the population. As part of the relief efforts, 180 million rupees were distributed in a single day to petrol pumps, benefiting over 2 million registered citizens through payments to 7,400 petrol stations nationwide.

The minister also addressed the approaching winter energy demands, stating that the government is actively managing liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies to avert potential shortages.
