Rawalpindi: France has acknowledged Pakistan’s concerted efforts to promote regional peace and stability, with discussions held today in Rawalpindi between Nicolas Roche, Secretary General for Defence and National Security of France, and Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. Roche was accompanied by French Ambassador Jean-Noël Poirier during the meeting.
According to Radio Pakistan, the talks encompassed matters of mutual interest, including regional security and bilateral cooperation in defense and security. The meeting underscored a shared commitment to enhancing defense and security collaboration between the two nations. Field Marshal Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to fortifying bilateral ties, while Roche expressed France’s interest in expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
