Four Civilians Martyred by Indian Troops in IIOJK, Sparking Protests

Karachi, In a recent series of incidents in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), Indian troops are reported to have martyred four civilians, including three in custodial circumstances, in the Poonch district. This has led to public outcry and demands for an international investigation.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian troops conducted a cordon and search operation in the Bafliaz area of Poonch district, during which they arrested Safeer Hussain, Mohammed Showkat, and Shabbir Ahmed. These individuals were later killed while in custody. Their arrests came in the aftermath of an attack on the Indian army in the Dhatyar Morh area, resulting in the deaths of five soldiers and injuries to two others. The area falls under the jurisdiction of the Surankote police station in Poonch district.

The custodial deaths of these three civilians have led to protests in the Bafliaz area. Protestors claim that the victims were rushed to a hospital while in custody and were declared dead on arrival by doctors. They are calling for justice and an international probe into these killings.

In a separate incident, Indian troops are also reported to have martyred another youth during a cordon and search operation in the Akhnoor area of the Jammu district. This operation was still ongoing at the time of the last reports.

These incidents highlight the escalating tensions and conflict in IIOJK, raising serious concerns about the use of force by Indian troops and the impact on civilian lives. The calls for an international investigation underscore the urgency for accountability and transparency in such cases.
