New York: The Foreign Ministers of Egypt, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye convened in New York on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly to deliberate on regional and international issues. The meeting emphasized the need for continued dialogue and diplomacy to address ongoing tensions and hostilities in the Middle East and surrounding areas.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ministers reaffirmed their commitment to peace, security, and stability, underscoring the importance of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding. They condemned recent attacks on Saudi Arabia and reiterated their support for the nation’s right to defend itself, as well as the need to ensure maritime navigation safety.

The ministers expressed support for Yemen’s legitimate government and the Presidential Leadership Council, advocating for a political process to achieve stability. They also highlighted the Palestinian cause, supporting the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

In addition, the ministers voiced their support for Sudan’s sovereignty and unity, emphasizing the need to halt the flow of weapons and foreign fighters into the country. They agreed to maintain close coordination and ongoing consultations to enhance collective security and promote long-term regional stability.
